Due to special anvil geometries adapted to the packaging material – also in the case of longitudinal seams or side-folds – the transverse seam has to be hermetically sealed. The fact that the sealing tools used in ultrasonic sealing are cold now means that heat-sensitive contents can now be sealed inside flexible packaging without a problem.
